Dr. Naomi Mumo
Dr. Naomi Mumo is a consultant physician with over 10 years of experience as a doctor. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Nairobi and later did her Masters in Internal Medicine at the same university.
She is passionate about non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Her main area of focus in the field of rheumatology for which she has done a two-year diploma on rheumatic diseases. She works as a part-time associate at the Nairobi Arthritis Clinic.
Her interests in the field include conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, fibromyalgia, and back pain. She is currently the treasurer of the rheumatologist association, ARSK.
While at the association, she was part of the team that developed the first Kenyan guidelines for the management of Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is also a member of the organizing committee for the biannual conferences held by the association.
